Abstract

These lines introduce some basic ideas in order to understand the interaction between theology and analytic philosophy, showing how the fruit of such encounter begets a theological approach called “philosophical theology” or, even better, “analytical theology.” Firstly, Analytic philosophy is described and then how its relationship with theology is at all possible. The article also discusses some objections addressed to the present approach and they are consequently answered; In addition, reasons for which in a context where traditional theology has lost clarity and rigorous methodology analytic theology should not only considered legitimate, but desirable.
