Une défense essentialiste au problème du mal

Is there incompatibility between the thesis of a christian God and the existence of evil? Our argumentation will be based on the excellent thesis of Alvin Planting, defending, against John L. Mackie’s theory, the coherence of theism in order to face the problem of evil. Nevertheless, we refuse to follow the modal metaphysics adopted by Alvin Plantinga and we propose an actualist position, and more specifically the serious essentialism advocated by E. J. Lowe. Our ultimate goal is to demonstrate that it is possible to follow the logical argument of Plantinga while supporting a serious essentialism.
