Abstract
The article (of which the first part is published on this number) it has as a background an interpretation of Teilhard’s opus according to which the precise historical reconstruction of the becoming of his thought allows to understand the relevance and the heuristic value of such issues as the techno-scientific construction of reality and the theological hermeneutics of such a phenomenon. Two issues that, instead, the Teilhard Forschung has almost completely ignored. On the basis of this kind of approach to the Jesuit’s opus the pertinence of some interpretations of his thought are examined which are findable in more or less recent publications. Such interpretations range from silence on Teilhard to harsh hateful criticism, from partial appraisal to full acknowledgement of the value of his opus. Moreover, it is analyzed the adequacy of some images (“blessed”, “cavendus”, “prophet”, “poet”, “visionary”, “scientist”), that in the substantial dossier regarding the reception of Teilhard have acted as condensation elements of the interpretation of his personality and of his thought.
