Un dialogo tra le scienze e la filosofia

Abstract

The dangers related to a possible catastrophe of the ecosystem determine the need for an educational turn to a significant change in mindset. Man is called to become aware of the need to establish limits to the exploitation of natural energies of the planet. This involves the enhancement of the accountability principle to steer the economy towards sustainable development. The philosophical theories used for this purpose are: anthropocentrism, biocentrism and the cosmo-centrism. The result is a philosophical proposal that starting from ecology to eco-ethics arrives to a form of neo-humanism . This proposal is based on the belief that man is a significant part of the complex system represented by the planet earth.
